Gamma Knife Radiosurgery for Benign Brain Tumors

Abstract
Since the radiosurgery was introduced by Lars Leksell at 1951, it became a important treatment methods for many brain lesions. Radiosurgery for brain tumors is increasing every year and proved effective treatment tools for the patients who were treated with primary or secondary treatment. There are many reports which are related to the efficacy and safety of radiosurgery to patients with small brain tumours in comparison with other established treatments. The author review the indication, radiosurgical planning and treatment result of benign brain tumors.
